Child Observation Record (COR)
The Child Observation Record (COR) was developed by the High/Scope Educational Research Foundation in Ypsilanti, Michigan. High/Scope is an independent nonprofit research, development, training, and public advocacy organization who envisions a world in which all educational settings use active participatory learning so everyone has a chance to succeed in life and contribute to society. The COR looks at the whole child—highlighting broad areas of development for children from the ages of 6 weeks to 6 years.
COR Preschool Software Box
Preschool Edition 7.0
The Preschool COR is an observational assessment tool for children ages 2½ to 6 years. It is designed to measure children's progress in all early childhood programs.

It looks at 32 dimensions of learning in six broad categories critical for school success.

With a staff of doctoral-level researchers, scientists, mathematicians, writers, and editors, they assist thousands of school districts across the nation and score more than 20 million test documents each year. The DSC looks at early literacy including concepts of print and writing, mathematics, social and emotional development, and fine and gross motor development.

The Learning Accomplishment Profile System (LAP) was developed by the Chapel Hill Training-Outreach Project Inc. (CHTOP). CHTOP's primary goal is to develop and demonstrate programs and strategies that will enhance the lives of children and families. Thier primary focus are families in poverty, families caring for the elderly, children with disabilities or chronic illness, and children at risk of abuse and neglect. The LAP is a comprehensive approach to understanding and facilitating the development of young children. The LAP model is based on research that recognizes young children as active partners in the learning process.
E-LAP CSA Software Box

Early LAP (E-LAP) is a criterion-referenced assessment instrument designed to assess the development of infants and toddlers. E-LAP provides a systematic method for observing children from birth to 36-months across six domains of development.
